Forteva’s founder Andy Root was born and raised in San Diego, has lived in Minnesota since in 2001 and is an established real estate investor and developer. He has a great track record of successful urban re-development projects and collaborations with great business such as Northbound BrewPub, A Cupcake Social, Punk Rawk Labs, Kabomelette, Sea Wolf Tattoo and his upcoming re-development work on the 3828 development at 28th Ave and 38th St near the Light Rail Station in South Minneapolis with the award-winning Lander Group.
Andy has been involved with real estate since and early age and in 2014 was inspired to start a new company, Forteva Solar. Partnering with his tenants, Andy started installing solar on his buildings and incorporating solar into his future development plans. "The more I got involved with it, the more compelling it became. It's good for the planet, and it feels great to be a part of it.” Combining his experience in residential and commercial real estate, knowledge of construction management and his passion for clean energy, solar energy is a natural fit for Forteva's sustainable development model..
Forteva Development invests in neighborhood retail and mixed-use buildings located in South Minneapolis along the Hiawatha Light Rail Corridor. We re-develop under-utilized buildings that have the potential to become something amazing for the whole community.
With our vision for transformation, knowledge of the local real estate market and expertise in construction/re-development, we seek to maximize the use of the property. We look for partnerships with entrepreneurial tenants who will be wildly successful in one our "re-visioned" properties.
Forteva is "Strength in Motion!"
